Ford engineered the F-150 with a high-strength, military-grade, aluminum-alloy body. The aluminum is put through a heating process to increase strength, and it is the only truck that offers this type of aluminum. Although the body is exceptionally strong and rigid, it weighs 60 pounds less than previous models, which is because the components are manufactured using an innovative roll-forming process to minimize weight.
The electronic shift-on-the-fly (ESOF) system is offered with this pickup truck. This system allows you to choose between two 4x4 drive modes that include low and high. In addition, the Limited, Platinum, King Ranch, and Raptor trims also come with an automatic 4WD mode.
