The new Escape is a powerful SUV that can tow 3,500 pounds with its optional 2.0-liter, which churns 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. The base engine is a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine that makes 181 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque. When powered by the optional engine, the SUV can hit 60 miles per hour in 6.9 seconds.

The Base model has front and rear anti-roll bars, which stabilize the vehicle and enhance the cornering abilities. The brake-actuated limited-slip differential limits wheel spin and prevents the vehicle from skidding. The standard electric power-assist speed-sensing steering system shortens the response time of the steering wheel and enhances your driving experience. The new Escape has gas-pressurized shock absorbers that provide a smoother ride by dampening the bumps and vibrations. The Platinum trim's anti-roll bars provide tighter cornering and reduce body roll when turning.
